Job Summary
Apotex 6 and 7 are Cognitive Support Units. Each unit comprises 79 beds/3 care communities and supports persons living with Alzheimer and related Dementias. The focus of care is on enabling individuals to live their full life. Staff members work to support residents with issues around aging and management of physical, emotional and cognitive well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff scheduling within a computerized scheduling environment
- Prepares, posts and maintains staffing schedules and attendance records
- Orders supplies, files, and other clerical duties as assigned
- Provides clerical support to the inter professional team members and LTC Managers
- Collects and distributes the mail
- Schedules resident’s care conferences and appointments, including transportation arrangements
- Communication and collaboration with other departments as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 year recent and related clerical experience, in a health care setting or recent completion of a recognized post-secondary Office Administration – Medical program required
- Excellent keyboarding skills of 40 wpm, computer skills, including Outlook, MS Word, Excel required
- Experience within a computerized scheduling environment preferred.
- Experience with UKG and Meditech and Point Click Care (PCC) preferred
- Experience working in a unionized environment preferred
