Brandt is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gardener Assistant to join our Labourer department for the seasonal period from April to November. As a Gardener Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of the private residence's gardens. The role is a full-time, seasonal position, and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite. Duties & Responsibilities
- Your responsibilities will include assisting in the care of a variety of flowers, shrubs, and trees, ensuring they are watered, fertilized, and free from pests and diseases.
- You will also be involved in hedge and shrub pruning, edging, and other landscaping tasks to enhance the overall appearance of the property.
- This position requires a passion for horticulture, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be able to follow instructions from senior staff and contribute to the creation and maintenance of a vibrant and healthy garden.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of plant care, including watering, fertilizing, and disease prevention
- Ability to use gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with pruning techniques for hedges and shrubs
- Understanding of landscaping and garden design principles
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor tasks
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of garden maintenance
- Effective communication skills to work as part of a team
- Time management skills to complete tasks within given deadlines
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior gardening staff
Required Experience
- Prior experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Experience with the care of flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Proven track record of effectively using gardening tools and equipment
- Previous experience in pruning and edging is highly desirable
- Familiarity with working in a private residence or similar setting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- History of maintaining high standards of garden aesthetics and health
- Experience working in seasonal gardening roles is an advantage
