Reporting to the Order Fulfillment Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of filling customer orders through coordination with the various manufacturing companies within Brandt.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Regular review and planning of incoming customer orders

·         Identify shipping method and supplying manufacturing facility

·         Configure optimized truck loads to be sent to customer(s) based on prioritization rules

·         Develop and maintain an optimized shipping schedule based on product supply from manufacturing facilities

·         Maintain customer sales orders with accurate expected ship dates

Initiate demand from supplying manufacturing companies

·         Ensure production is building the correct items and quantities to satisfy shipping schedule

·         Participate in weekly schedule freeze meetings to establish the next “locked” week of production and shipments

·         Issue purchase order(s) to supplying manufacturing company

Monitor and maintain sales company inventory for accuracy

·         Ensure purchase orders and sales orders transact from the appropriate warehouse(s)

·         Monitor safety stock items and initiate timely demand to replenish when required

·         Monitor warehouses for inventory anomalies and take corrective action

Aid in the reporting of company metrics and key performance indicators

Aid in continuous improvement initiatives to further optimize Order Fulfillment processes

Required Skills

·            - Candidates must be detail-oriented, and have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

·        - Able to establish priorities, coordinate and monitor work plans, and maintain effective working relationships across departments

·        - Must have proficient computer skills (strong Excel/spreadsheet skills preferred)


Required Experience

·         - Knowledge and experience in production planning and/or ERP systems is considered an asset

·       - A first level University Degree/Certificate with a relevant combination of experience such as Production Planning, Logistics, Operations/Management, Supply Chain Management is preferred, but not mandatory
