Accountant

Brandt Corporate Services Ltd. has an open position for an Accountant in our Regina, SK, location.  This position will work in the Finance department for the Distributed Products division of Brandt. It will be responsible for Accountant level duties commensurate with the applicant’s level of education and experience. These responsibilities will include regular duties related to the division’s month end processes, balancing and reconciling bank divisional bank accounts, ad-hoc analysis and reporting as well as specific projects as required.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Reconciling bank accounts monthly and balancing transactions on a daily and weekly basis
• Month-end account reconciliations
• Preparation and posting of journal entries, largely monthly recurring entries
• Preparation of regular internal management reporting, including sales reporting
• Analysis of certain account balances, including recommendations related to the analysis
• Processing and review of customer refunds or rebate requests
• Year-end working paper preparation
• Specific projects and other related duties as required

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently

Required Experience

• Minimum 1-3 years if experience in a similar role
• Post Secondary Diploma in Accounting
