Senior Director, Product Support Sales
Executive & Senior Management/Cadres supérieurs
Responsible for leading a team of Directors of Product Support Sales in the following industries: Construction and Forestry, Agriculture, Transportation and Material Handling. This role is charged with the growth of the parts and service business in each of these industries. As a senior leader in Product Support, the successful candidate must have a proven track record in sales management, be dedicated to outstanding customer service, be well organized, and capable of leading a highly motivated team. The ideal candidate will have a relevant combination of education and experience along with a proven track record in product support.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Territory Sales Management
- Through 4 industry focused Directors, and their regionally focused managers, lead the sales efforts for Parts and Service Globally.
- Establish ratios for CSA territory coverage, and work with the branches to recruit, onboard, retain and grow those CSAs.
- Work with the branches to align customer lists and territories to the CSAs.
- Establish regional sales management practices including sales meetings, customer & territory reporting, sales performance, etc.
Product Portfolio, Pricing, Promotion
- Together with Marketing, develop all the retail programs for all Non-John Deere customer support products.
- Together with Fleetwise and Marketing, develop a suite of services for Inspections, Preventative Maintenance and Warranty.
- Together with Marketing, work to close any gaps in the portfolio offering.
- Set and achieve sales targets and margin targets in key parts and service categories.
- Together with marketing, create promotional calendars in each of our industries.
Compensation
- Together with HR, develop compensation plans for all CSAs.
- With the sales coordinators and HR, run incentive programs for CSAs.
- Recruit, Hire and Train all team members.
- Performance Management of all team members.
- Other Duties as Assigned

Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in a Sales, Marketing or Industry
- Strong Leadership skills
- A drive to expand knowledgebase to fully understand corporate objectives
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with the ability to work well under time pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills to drive results through motivating and influencing
- Sales management and the ability to drive the sales process from inception to close
- Strong industry expertise and knowledge in the heavy equipment business, specifically in the areas or repair and maintenance
- Ability to build strong customer partnerships, maintain relationships with key customers at all levels including executive-level managers
- Ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team to pursue and grow the business
- Be creative, a self-starter, team player, fast learner, detail oriented, and conscientious with a drive to “win”
- Ability to travel as needed – 2 weeks / month
