The Faculty of Health Sciences at Durham College requires invigilators for students writing exams or assessments. Invigilators oversee the writing of assessments in classrooms, ensuring the academic integrity of this process. Test-writing clients may include college students pursuing post-secondary credentials at other institutions. Invigilators will be available to proctor or invigilate assessments in-person at the Oshawa campuses, and virtually through video conferencing as needed.  In-person invigilation duties include such tasks as preparing testing rooms in advance, checking students in, verifying student identification and ensuring a quiet and orderly physical environment.  Virtual invigilation duties include such tasks as ensuring software is in working order, arranging virtual check-in for students and trouble-shooting/escalating technical issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1.  Post-secondary education is required, preferably in an education-related field.
  2. Experience invigilating tests or exams in an academic setting is an asset.  

Required Skills

Hourly rate: $18.46

Part-time support opportunity (casual): March 2024 through June 2024, with potential for annual renewal
