Branch/Sales Manager
Management
We have an excellent opportunity to exercise and further develop your business management and leadership skills as the Branch Manager with oversight to the Sales, Parts and Service departments at the Enns Brothers' John Deere dealership in Arborg. This position is responsible for the efficient operation of all aspects of the branch, to cultivate employee engagement and teamwork and to support the achievement of all operational and service excellence goals.
Enns Brothers has been in business for over 60 years, and has 9 locations in the province with 350 employees. Our employees have worked hard to build a reputation for reliability, integrity and community support. The Arborg team is very community minded and has held employee events to raise money for local and national charities.
Responsibilities:
Financial
- Develop the sales, expense and cap ex budgets
- Develop and execute strategies that are aligned with the business plan and achieve the planned revenue, profit and service goals
- Oversee pricing and the guidelines for pricing to achieve margin targets, accountable for proper costing of quotes for new equipment and trade evaluation (including maximization of supplier incentives)
Internal
- Direct the day-to-day operations of the branch
- Ensure used equipment is purchased at profitable values and in alignment with corporate guidelines for resale values, margin spread and reconditioning costs
- Manage sales inventory in alignment with corporate inventory guidelines to ensure proper inventory turns and selling of aged inventories
- Facilitate the closing of deals when an account manager requests it or when needed
- Work closely with marketing and with similar positions in other branches to ensure a coordinated strategy
Learning and Growth
- Develop a high-performance team that works together to achieve corporate and branch metrics. Activities include coaching and developing direct reports, ensuring full communication of key information throughout the branch
- Communicate and effectively drive the vision, mission and core values through all levels of the organization
Customer
- Monitor levels of customer service and take action to continuously improve the customer experience
- Actively participate in sales and events, develop direct customer relationships and support the sales process
- Achieve or maintain highest service excellence designation from our supplier
Safety and Community
- Actively promote the branch in the community and ensure that the business reputation and image in the community is consistent with the organization’s objectives
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized working area and act in compliance with all legislation, including Health and Safety laws, Workers Compensation procedures and Employment Standards legislation.

Required Skills:
To be successful as the Branch Manager, we are looking for:
- Knowledge of sales best practices, particularly in high dollar value product sales and in relationship sales environments
- Familiarity with sales, parts and service department processes
- Accomplished leader, able to motivate employees, mentor managers, create high performing teams, work through conflicts and implement activities and processes to support the desired corporate culture
- Proficient in electronic office environment with particular emphasis on using business systems to achieve high levels of personal and organization performance
- Able to pull key information, including numbers, variances and trends, from financial data and use same to make informed business decisions
- Familiar with relevant legislation, regulations and legal frameworks for Manitoba
Required Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- A business degree, Ag degree or suitable combination of experience and formal education.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales and Sales Management.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in a senior role.
- A valid driver's license.
- A background in agriculture and particularly ag equipment.
