We are looking for a talented SERVICE ADVISOR to join our high performing service team.
This frontline position is the cornerstone of the service department - undertaking all actions necessary to support the efficient receipt, processing and return of John Deere turf equipment brought in for repair, maintenance or upgrade. This role supports two groups: the customers who need our expertise and the expert technicians who do the work.
- Receive all incoming items, accurately record the customer’s information
- Open work orders as needed and maintain control of these work orders
- Ensure that all relevant information is collected and provided to the service technicians.
- Arrange logistics for equipment into and out of the service department
- Maintain communication with customer during the work and ensure a perfect delivery of the completed job
- Pro-actively contact customers to solve problems before they happen

Required Skills
- Mechanical aptitude, including understanding of basic mechanical systems is critical
- Familiarity with turf equipment is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to provide above average customer service on the phone and in person
- Well-developed ability to shift priorities and switch tasks
- Organized, detail oriented, and great follow up skills
- Typing 30 wpm+
- Familiar with computerized operations, Microsoft Office programs, able to learn new systems
- Adaptable: Demonstrated ability to continuously learn new things and apply new information
- Current driver's license and clean abstract are required
Required Experience
- 1-2 years experience in a busy Service Center or Repair Shop
- High school completion, post secondary training would be an asset
- Technical/mechanical qualifications would be an asset
- Advanced customer management and/or sales training would be an asset
- Supervisory experience is an asset
