Shop Assistant

Our Brandon location is looking for a Shop Assistant to support our Service Department.  In this role, you will assist with basic repairs and service tasks on outdoor power equipment while working under the guidance of a Senior Technician, Service Manager, or Shop Foreman. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop hands-on mechanical skills.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Perform basic service tasks as assigned
• Develop skills in removal, disassembly, and reconditioning of components
• Assist with the reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
• Participate in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Assist Senior Technicians as required
• Maintain condition of service vehicles, trailers, tools and equipment
• Perform pre-delivery set up and inspection on new equipment as required
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment following the guidelines of workplace health and safety and Enns Brothers

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment/agricultural equipment
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Outdoor power equipment/Ag equipment exposure is an asset
• Mechanical aptitude

Required Experience

• High school completion or equivalent GED (or working towards)
• Driver’s License and clean abstract
• New work Health and Safety orientation
