The Job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership and Business Partnership- Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to shape and execute the corporate strategic plan.
- Provide financial insight and strategic recommendations to support growth and profitability.
- Evaluate financial implications of new business initiatives, investments, and products.
- Promote a proactive, results-driven, and values-based leadership culture.
- Lead all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and SOX reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation processes to align with corporate strategy.
- Maintain strong internal controls and oversee timely completion of audits.
- Manage cash flow, treasury, and investment portfolios to ensure liquidity and capital efficiency.
- Negotiate and maintain effective banking and financing relationships.
- Oversee management of trust funds and investments in coordination with external advisors.
- Provide leadership in corporate, sales, and payroll taxation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee external and internal audit processes to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Manage corporate insurance coverage, renewals, and enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance, Payroll, and Actuarial teams to achieve departmental excellence.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Implement effective succession planning and professional development strategies.
- Drive automation, process improvement, and system integration initiatives across Finance.
- Ensure the financial infrastructure supports organizational scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Implement robust financial models and controls for new business lines and acquisitions.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with auditors, banks, insurers, OEMs, and other key partners.
- Review and approve major contracts and ensure accurate maintenance of the contract registry.
- Represent the Finance function as a strategic and trusted partner to internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead financial due diligence and integration for mergers, acquisitions, and business combinations.
- Support enterprise-wide strategic and innovation initiatives to drive long-term growth.

Required Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive senior financial leadership experience
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial management, risk management, and compliance with IFRS and SOX.
- Proven success in financial reporting, capital management, and organizational transformation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, investment management, and corporate financing considered an asset.
- Experience in insurance, financial services or automotive industry is strongly preferred.
Education
- CPA designation required
- MBA or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Executive leadership experience in a multi-jurisdictional, fast-paced corporate environment.
- Experience managing senior teams and complex cross-functional portfolios.
What We Offer
- The compensation range for this position is $220,000 - $295,000
- Hybrid work model.
