Expression of Interest:

Pacemaker Clinic

Expressions of interest are being accepted from casual or part-time employees who are Regulated Health Care Professionals with experience in pacemakers, cardiac monitoring, and/or cardiac diagnostic interpretations who wish to assume clinical and administrative duties in the Pacemaker Clinic.

The Pacemaker Technologist supports the Pacemaker Clinic by assisting physicians with pacemaker interrogations, performing administrative duties, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of clinic services.

Should you be the successful employee, training will be provided.

Duties will include:

• Basic physical assessments
• Cardiac rhythm interpretations
• Reprogramming of pacemakers, and eventually ICDs
• Provision of patient education on management of potential cardiac events
• Appointment scheduling
• Database maintenance (Excel format)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with pacemaker interrogations to ensure device functionality
• Support administrative duties to maintain clinic operations
• Ensure the ongoing functionality and organization of the pacemaker clinic
• Participate in ongoing education and training related to cardiac devices
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or Team Lead

Qualifications

• Regulated Health Care Professional
• Experience in pacemakers, cardiac monitoring, and/or cardiac diagnostic interpretation preferred
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required education for pacemaker/device management

Granting of this work assignment shall be based on a number of factors including previous related experience, the candidate’s demonstrated ability and flexibility, attendance record, and operational need. Pacemaker programming training will be provided.
