Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a multi-site organization that includes the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site, and together we provide outstanding, integrated care to support people in living their healthiest lives.

 

The Corporate Education Coordinator oversees student placements, coordinates in-house training programs, and manages the Learning Management System (LMS) to track and report staff education hours. This role involves collaborating with recruitment, managing education budgets, processing tuition reimbursements, and ensuring the completion of mandatory training, while also facilitating general orientation and other training sessions for staff.

 

ROLE 

  • Coordinate student placements, including communication with educational institutions, students, managers, and internal departments to support onboarding and placement requirements
  • Maintain affiliation agreements and ensure all required documentation is current and compliant
  • Support staff placements with external agencies and coordinate internal education and training programs
  • Collaborate with Recruitment to support student interviews and promote career opportunities to students and educational partners
  • Deliver student orientation sessions, hospital tours, and ongoing support throughout placements
  • Track and report student placement hours, staff education records, and training metrics for reporting purposes
  • Build, assign, and maintain learning modules within the Learning Management System (LMS) while supporting user access and completion tracking
  • Provide LMS support to managers and staff, including reporting, troubleshooting, and education on advanced system functionalities
  • Coordinate annual education planning, monitor education budgets, and process tuition reimbursement requests in collaboration with Finance
  • Schedule and facilitate staff orientation sessions and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training programs, including annual planning and coordination

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S) 

  • Certificate in Adult Education or Equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience coordinating education in a Hospital Setting
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent computer skills utilizing LMS platforms
  • Related experience providing program leadership in a healthcare setting, an asset

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

 

Location: Onsite and Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis

 

Hours of Work:  General hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8 am - 4 pm.  Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements per the collective agreement.
