Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Infusion Clinic
Dear Nursing Team,
Expressions of interest are being accepted from members of the ONA bargaining unit who wish to work as secondary casual in the Ambulatory Infusion Clinic.
The Ambulatory Infusion Clinic provides specialized outpatient nursing care to patients receiving intravenous medications, infusions, and blood transfusions. Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, the RN is responsible for patient assessment, treatment administration, monitoring, education, and care coordination while promoting safe, high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assessing, monitoring, and providing nursing care to patients receiving intravenous medications, infusions, and blood transfusions.
Safely administering prescribed treatments, documenting patient care, and communicating changes in patient condition to the appropriate members of the healthcare team.
Providing patient and family education, coordinating care activities, and supporting quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the Ambulatory Infusion Clinic.
Preference will be given to individuals who possess the following
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Part-Time and Casual employees
- Previous experience in emergency, ambulatory care, oncology, infusion therapy, or transfusion medicine.
Granting of this opportunity shall be based on a number of factors, including previous related experience, the candidate’s demonstrated ability, flexibility and availability, attendance record, and operational need. Training shifts will be scheduled based on current posted schedules and availability of those departments to train.
