Secondary ENVS Aide

Dear Team,

Expressions of interest are being accepted from members of the SEIU bargaining unit who wish to work as a Secondary ENVS Aide.

The purpose of this position is designed to reduce the ongoing staff shortage issues. The successful applicant will begin training in needed areas within the Environmental department. If there is a need at anytime that cannot be filled with the current ENVS staff members then the Secondary ENVS Aide will be offered that shift.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work well with others in an interdisciplinary team environment.
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work and complete workload assignments with minimal supervision.
• Must complete workload assignments with a high degree of attention to detail and thoroughness throughout areas of assignment.
• Show an eagerness and capacity to adapt to change.
• Regular and punctual attendance is a requirement of this position.
• The individual must be able to meet the physical requirements of this position which include lifting, standing, walking and the operation of various equipment for long periods of time.

Preference will be given to individuals who possess the following

• Part-Time and Casual employees
• HDMH site staff members

Granting of this opportunity shall be based on a number of factors, including previous related experience, the candidate’s demonstrated ability, flexibility and availability,

attendance record, and operational need. Training shifts will be scheduled based on current posted schedules and availability of those departments to train.
