Nursing Mentors

Expressions of interest are being accepted from Registered Nurses and Registered Practical nurses who wish to join an orientation team. This opportunity is designed to provide mentorship to two (2) to three (3) orientees at a time dependent on skill level.

Individuals are being sought to share the provision of monthly NVCI Training and to support staff in applying the techniques in their departments.  Trainers will alternate in the provision of this training (est. 3 times a year) and backfill one another as required to cover off vacations and unplanned absences. 

Preference will be given to casual and Part time and modified Nurses who currently have experience on the Medical Surgical department.

Granting of this opportunity shall be based on a number of factors including previous related experience, the candidate’s demonstrated ability, flexibility and availability, attendance record, and operational need. The schedule plan will be 0730 to 1930 on a traditional rotation. Up to twelve (12) weeks and extended if required.
