The Project Management Office Manager provides leadership and direction in the development, execution, and evaluation of an organization-wide, strategic project portfolio. This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of project management programs and managing resources.

 

ROLE

  • Monitor and track the progress of projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and standards
  • Analyze financial data, implement budgets, produce financial reports, and initiate corrective actions as necessary
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle arise, escalating critical items
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively across projects
  • Ensure projects align with hospital goals, values and strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with the corporate communications team to develop and execute project communication plans
  • Ensure that proper standards and practices are implemented and that internal and external policy and procedures are created/updated to incorporate project outcomes
  • Manage and lead the evaluation of project change requests
  • Create new project management tools and best practices to meet organizational needs
  • Coach project stakeholders using change management methodologies to effectively manage expectations and impact of change
  • Requirements gathering, workflow development and process mapping for both current and future states
  • Develop business cases and proposals as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalaureate degree in a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation
  • LEAN Six Sigma Certification
  • 3 years of on the job project management experience with proven use of project management tools and techniques
  • 3 years of experience leading and maintaining effective teams
  • Project management skills with extensive knowledge of project management principles and tools

 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

 

Location: Multi-Site, working on-site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis

 

Hours of Work:  Days, Monday-Friday. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental and organization needs.
