The Talent Acquisition Specialist is instrumental in managing the full recruitment process, from sourcing and attracting top talent to making offers and facilitating onboarding. This role is vital in ensuring Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) delivers the best patient experience by identifying and hiring exceptional candidates who align with our values, goals, and culture.
 
ROLE
  • Administers full-cycle recruitment process, including posting job openings, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations
  • Utilizes various candidate-sourcing resources such as job boards, networking events, social media, and employee referrals to attract a pool of qualified candidates
  • Screen resumes, and access candidates’ qualifications, experience, and skills to make recommendations to hiring managers
  • Coordinates, schedules, and participates in interviews with hiring teams ensuring clear communication throughout the entire process
  • Administers relevant reference checks, reviewing certifications, and pre-employment assessments
 
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree or Community College Certificate in Human Resources, or a related discipline
  • Current Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, or actively working towards
  • Three (3) years’ experience in human resources leading high-volume, full-cycle recruitment in a unionized environment, preferably in the healthcare sector
  • Three (3) years’ experience with an Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS )
  • Demonstrated success in developing recruitment strategies aimed at recruiting to hard-to-fill vacancies
  • Experience in candidate sourcing, focused advertising strategies and developing talent pipelines, including experience with various sourcing techniques and social media channels
  • Excellent computer proficiency with the ability to develop engaging presentations and materials aimed at attracting top talent

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 
 
Department: Human Resources 
 
Location: Multi-Site, working on-site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
 
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements per the organizational needs. 
 
Position Type: Temporary Full-Time
 
Duration: 24-month contract
