As an IT Technical Support Specialist at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), you will ensure the security and availability of IT infrastructure, providing Level 1 support for network, desktop, and telephony issues. Your role includes assisting with system and application issues, user account management, and offering end-user training and support. Additionally, you will handle desktop and network cable changes, manage support requests, and coordinate with third-party entities to resolve complex issues.

ROLE 

  • Ensure security and availability of organization's information, IT infrastructure, and IT assets
  • Level 1 support for network, desktop computing, and telephony issues
  • Level 1 support for application and system issues
  • Level 1 support to end user (training and advice)
  • Enrolment and termination of user accounts within applications, systems and provincial entities
  • Desktop computer and network cable moves, adds, changes
  • Manage support requests to insure compliance with service level agreements
  • Coordination and escalation to third party support entities

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience and training
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience providing level 1 IT support

 

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • ITIL Foundation Certified
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification

 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

 

Location: Multi-Site, working in person at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. 

 

Hours of Work: Shifts will be Monday to Friday 8 am - 4 pm, however, shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements. You may also be required to be available evenings and weekends.
