What we are looking for:
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager of Critical Care you will be responsible for providing excellent care to a diverse patient population within our multi-service environment. You will be part of a 30 bed unit, delivering high quality care both within the Critical Care Department as well as part of the Critical Care Response Team.
What you bring to the role:
· Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
· Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Respiratory Therapy
· Current BCLS and ACLS
· Completion of a Critical Care Certificate (for nurses)
· Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience in a Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit
· Excellent communication, organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills
· Excellent problem-solving, decision making and critical thinking skills
· Demonstrates initiative and the ability to function both independently and as a multidisciplinary team member in a fast paced demanding environment.
· Demonstrated good attendance record and performance record with the ability to maintain the same standard
· Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
Work Schedule:
The successful candidate will do a rotation of 12 hour Days and Nights. Please note schedules may change due to operational needs.
Compensation:
Band J: 37.96- 54.42 or OPCOM02: 38.03 - 51.09 determined based on skills, qualifications and experience.
