National Coordinator, Partnerships and Corporate Philanthropy

(12-Month Contract)

We’re currently seeking for a new team member to fill the role of National Coordinator, Partnerships and Corporate Philanthropy, providing administrative and coordination support to the Partnerships and Corporate Philanthropy team through soliciting partnerships and sponsorships, including supporting the recruitment, activation and fulfillment for new partnerships. This highly collaborative role works closely with colleagues across the organization to achieve Breakthrough T1D’s mission accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.   

 

Here’s what your primary responsibilities would be:

  • Record and track all solicitations, gift and partnership deliverables, submission and reporting deadlines, and moves management activities in CRM for partners;
  • Work in partnership with team members to draft/coordinate sponsorship, foundations and corporate proposals, letters, agreements and fulfillment reports
  • Assist in prospect research, utilizing digital resources and tools and prepare research summaries/briefs and work with Prospect Research Officer on the completion of partnership opportunity assessments for applicable account manager; Manage general inquiries for follow-up based on Prospect Clearance procedure
  • Maintain accurate, professional and current records on corporate prospects, sponsors and supporters through our CRM system and other shared drives and support regular CRM reporting, including monthly prospect reports and other ad-hoc reports
  • Monitor and track fulfillment/stewardship activity ensuring follow up actions are recorded and completed
  • Maintain information associated with sponsor deliverables and recognition
  • Coordinate partner lists for mailings, special announcements, event invitations etc.
  • Track all payments and coordinate with Leadership Giving Operations and Finance to ensure timely data entry, coding and allocations
  • Provide general administrative support to the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships team

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • 1-3 years relevant experience (fundraising, sales, administration, etc.) and post-secondary education in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and aptitude to learn standard organizational software and other applications/tools
  • Experience working with a CRM system including logging actions and tasks, and pulling reports
  • Project Coordination experience with a demonstrated ability to prepare and manage timelines, goals and expectations
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset

  • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively within a remote team environment to ensure fundraising goals are met
  • Service-oriented with the ability to positively interact internally as a team member, as well as externally with sponsors and corporate partners
  • Excellent interpersonal/relationship management skills and able to quickly build rapport
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and service-oriented
  • Critical thinking and planning skills and able to think creatively.
  • Strong attention to detail while working with multiple and/or competing priorities, projects and deadlines
  • Solutions-focused, flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion with confidential information

 

Other position requirements to note:

  • Flexibility to work some irregular hours, including occasional evenings and weekends as required (5-10%)

 

The salary range for this role is anticipated to be $53,000-$58,000, commensurate with skills and experience level of the selected candidate.

 

Location Preference: Flexible within Canada; this is a remote/work-from-home position.
