Trotter & Morton Building Technologies is now looking for a Construction Administrator for an Commercial project located near Lethbridge Alberta in Chin, AB.

This is an “Onsite” position that will be based in a construction site office in Chin, Alberta.

Please note that this position does not include a living-out allowance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with the coordination and administration of the job site on a daily basis
  • Act as a liaison with subcontractors expediting drawings, shop drawings and related information
  • Conduct quality control activities in accordance with instructions, inspection programs, using specified control measuring and testing equipment
  • Coordinate submittals and procure all close-out documents including warranties and Operating Maintenance Manuals
  • Monitor field work and the project quality plan to ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, specifications and codes
  • Coordinate periodic job-related photographs for relevant records
  • Understand and perform document control functions in accordance with on-site policy and procedures, including tracking and creating RFIs, transmitting and tracking of submittals, composing agreements, and maintaining project expediting lists
  • Track and monitor Safety documentation.  Assisting the Safety rep with related document controls
  • Assist with the research and preparation of field change requests to resolve design issues
  • Maintain and update the Shop Drawings Log, and review submittals
  • Research and recommend solutions to design document problems, including conflicts, interferences and errors/omissions
  • Participate in the continuous updating and accurate generation of as-built documents 
  • Follow all company policies and procedures including TML’s Health and Safety program
  • Understand and follow company Quality Control Program
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Required Skills 

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Recognized analytical and research skills
  • Ability to handle a heavy workload, multitask and prioritize
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Excel, Project, Outlook

 

Required Experience

  • 2-5 years or more of experience in a Construction Administrator role
  • Completion of Grade 12 or GED
  • Business Admin/Construction Admin credentials are an asset
  • Construction experience is considered an asset

 

Additional Requirements

  • Site based position in Chin/Coaldale Alberta
  • Valid Drivers License
