We are currently looking for a Tool Crib Supervisor to join our team!

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Communicate, direct and coordinate the start-up of projects with respect to tools and equipment, as per Tool Request Lists with Project Managers, Site Superintendents and Foremen. Quote and purchase tools and equipment as required.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, distributers and manufacturing representatives. Negotiate best pricing acting for the best interests of Trotter & Morton.
  • Determine the best method if returns from sites at job closures and coordinate with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, Foreman and/or others.
  • Responsible for company and employee tools - make small repairs, ensure major repairs are sent to the appropriate repair depot, and calibrate sensitive equipment.
  • Communicate on all levels with Management, Superintendents, Project Managers, Staff and Suppliers in order to direct positive flow of tools, equipment and supplies to jobsites effectively
  • Responsible for engraving company tools.
  • Input new tool information including serial number, price, model, warranty, into management system to ensure proper tracking of tools. Ensure that tools are assigned and rented to the appropriate employee and job site.
  • Responsible for keeping the tool crib, loading dock and sidewalks safe, organized and clean.
  • Responsible for general yard clean up and removal of garbage and hazardous materials.
  • Ensuring any new deliveries and pickups are added to the shared calendar  
  • Ensure compliance with Company Safety and HR policies and procedures
  • Provide support and training, as required
  • Performs other duties as required

Required Experience 

  • Experience in construction with a focus in mechanical and/or electrical operations is considered an asset
  • Experience in a related warehouse/yard environment involving distribution, receiving and shipping, usually evidenced by 3-5 years’ experience

 

Additional Requirements

  • City travel may be required
  • Must have a clean driving record and abstract
