Division: Trotter & Morton Facility Services

 

Trotter & Morton Facility Services provides 24/7 preventive and predictive mechanical system maintenance and repair to condominiums, commercial, and institutional buildings.

We are currently looking for 3rd year and 4th year apprentices, and Journeypeople to join our team! 

Trotter and Morton’s Facility Services Division is a UA516 registered division.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulating pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand and power tools
  • Install, troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Startup system and test for leaks using testing devices
  • Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing
  • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation or heat pump systems
  • Candidate must also have kept up with their ongoing skills required to service and troubleshoot the constantly changing products found in this HVAC environment.

Required Experience 

  • Journeyperson HVAC Certification 
  • Apprentices: Completion of 3rd or 4th year schooling plus applicable hours
  • EPA Certification
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • HVAC Service experience considered an asset
