We are currently looking for a Junior Project Accountant to join our team!

Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the review and setup of projects and/or
transfer from Procore as required. - Review and input budget and contract schedule of values in
Viewpoint and transfer to Procore as required. - Review and input/transfer of change orders, subcontracts and
purchase orders - Responsible for the preparation and issuing of invoices in an
efficient and timely manner - Work closely with Project Manager in preparing monthly
progress invoices for work performed during the month - Ensure Time and Material invoices are created in accordance
with the contract terms and rate sheets - Monitor adherence of project accounting to contractual terms
- Administer all approved change orders and increases to prime
contract and pertinent subcontracts. - Review and input subcontract invoicing for payment
- Assist with PWP coordination with subcontractor and manager
- Communicate issues or concerns with the projects to the
Project Accounting Manager - Set up account information for new clients and contracts
- Complete job cost adjustments as required
- Maintain an up to date billing system and review aging reports
- Receive and complete bank deposits and visa transactions
for all Trotter & Morton Group of Companies - Post and reconcile customer payments to general ledgers
- Send notifications of past due accounts by resending invoices
or making phone calls to facilitate payment schedules - Review all credit balances, refunds and adjustments. Apply
adjustments and/or corrections to corporate billing records - Issue alerts of any collection issues to the Project Accounting
Manager - Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied
cash transactions - Maintain accurate documentation for all collections to facilitate
spontaneous review by Management or Project Managers - Process Intercompany and intra-company transactions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Ability to learn new software with proficiency of Microsoft Office
applications, specifically Microsoft Excel - Professional, approachable and customer-service oriented
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of all aspects of A/R processes and practices
Required Experience
- Completion of Grade 12 Diploma or GED
- Accounts Receivable or Project Accounting experience is an asset
