Division: Bow River Paving

 

Bow River Paving, part of the Trotter & Morton Group of Companies, has been providing asphalt paving services for private and commercial projects in Alberta since 1991. Our operations also include grading, gravelling, and snow removal services.

 

Bow River is currently looking to hire an Asphalt Raker who will contribute to our team of dedicated personnel by bringing their experience and high-quality workmanship to every project.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities 

 

  • Responsible for placement of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) to design specifications and tolerances
  • Perform labourer duties and utilize plate tamper
  • Clean and grease the paving machine as required
  • Assist paver operator with routine maintenance
  • Perform other duties as required 

Required Skills

 

  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Required Experience

 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • OH&S Certificate, WHMIS, CSTS
  • Must be able to perform manual labour 
  • Intimate knowledge of Screed operation
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience
